Or has Lizzy described it 'Sandy flood fest gravel'. š Headed out Towards Norfolk this weekend for an off road sportive on the Sunday, so decided to make a weekend of it and do a gravel ride in Thetford Forest. What can I say about this ride ?? days of rain beforehand made it especially muddy, as we cycled through trails in the Kings Forest. It started out very sandy and deeply rutted, the trail bikes were loving it! as it was a bit like a BMX track. I slipped over in the first 15 minutes and Lizzy then in the next 15 minutes, all good fun though, lots of standing water, but very quiet and peaceful. I'd like to have explored more of the Forest as there is an extensive network of trails. Only a short one but quite a workout with all the mud and sand. Finished it off with a fantastic slice of chocolate fudge cake at the Anglo-Saxon village at West Stow. Bike is very very VERY dirty, oops.. š¤¦š»āāļøš¤¦š»āāļø
