An awesome ride in the Peak District (Derbyshire) today with great pals. Only 39 miles but close to 4000 feet of climbing, it was intense! Challenging but beautiful. 8 category climbs, some nearly 20%. Started in Bakewell, famous for the Bakewell pudding! Climbed up to Eyam, the plague village, and one hell of a downhill, then up again, and then down! An on it goes. We were so lucky with the weather. āļø Beautiful fields & hills with sheep , dry stone walls and villages with deberyshire stone. š š A lunch stop in Buxton at Weatherspoons, just what we needed! After our 8th category climb, š„ŗ (and this doesn't count all the other climbing not categorised), some stunning rolling down sections. Tough but a great sense of achievement! My perfect Mother's Day treat! š„°āļø Finished off with an amazing Bakewell slice from the original Bakewell pudding parlour! Happy days. ššš“āāļøš“āāļø
