An awesome ride in the Peak District (Derbyshire) today with great pals. Only 39 miles but close to 4000 feet of climbing, it was intense! Challenging but beautiful. 8 category climbs, some nearly 20%. Started in Bakewell, famous for the Bakewell pudding! Climbed up to Eyam, the plague village, and one hell of a downhill, then up again, and then down! An on it goes. We were so lucky with the weather. ☀️ Beautiful fields & hills with sheep , dry stone walls and villages with deberyshire stone. 🐑 🐑 A lunch stop in Buxton at Weatherspoons, just what we needed! After our 8th category climb, 🥺 (and this doesn't count all the other climbing not categorised), some stunning rolling down sections. Tough but a great sense of achievement! My perfect Mother's Day treat! 🥰⭐️ Finished off with an amazing Bakewell slice from the original Bakewell pudding parlour! Happy days. 😎😎🚴♀️🚴♀️
