On Saturday 30 April, I volunteered with a friend to be a 'Ride Angel' for the 100km Ride the Night Women's cycling event through London. It was brilliant to see so many women cycling, and so many fantastically decorated and lit up bikes and riders! Being an angel met assisting with incidents and supporting riders. It was a long night (started cycling at 9pm and finished at 4.30am), but what an atmosphere! The best bit? apart from seeing over 2000 women on their bikes, it raised tens of thousands for women's cancer charities.
