Day one of our North Wales cycling adventure. Only a total of 36 miles today (including from home) but many hours on the road. Caught the train up to Chester from Milton Keynes to meet up with two friends who had already been cycling down from Dumfries over the last week. Absolutely stunning weather followed the river Dee out of Chester all the way down to Shotton where we had an amazing meal in a charity cafĂŠ then onward to Flint & Flint Castle then some hectic roads before we made it onto the coastal cycle path which was absolutely beautiful along the North Wales coast past sand dunes to our destination in Prestatyn. Absolutely amazing meal in a local restaurant called Patagonia.
