An amazing local off-road sportive today with good friends. The route took us through Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire. A charity ride organised in support of the brains trust. What a brilliant route starting out in Mixbury and then heading down towards Stoke Lynn, Hethe, around the perimeter of Stowe Gardens and then this amazing section along the back of Silverstone racecourse and then back through Hazelborough forest.
This route had everything - quiet country roads, pretty villages, scenic views over the fields and countryside, shaded, tree-lined gravel paths, trails through wodlands and forests & country estates, and lots of interesting things to do see, particularly the follies through Stowe Gardens & all the buildings and stands at Silverstone race track.
One to definitely do again.
