What an amazing day I had on 20 July. I feel very honoured to have been asked to be one of Milton Keynes Reps to cycle with Chris Boardman and his crew on one of the stages of his pedal for Paris event. https://www.sportengland.org/news-and-inspiration/boardman-lead-pedal-paris
It was also an honour to raise the profile of Breeze at this event.
Chris Boardman is an absolute legend and I couldn’t resist a once in a lifetime opportunity to cycle with him. he’s a world time trial champion, Olympic cycling champion and has won several stages of the Tour de France. More recently he’s known as a TV pundit, including Tour de France and generally ambassador for all things cycling.
We met at the badminton centre with other VIPs, including our cycling Mayor, Marie Bradburn before heading down to the lunch stop at Halton.
It was the hottest day of the year as well. Chris has a BBC documentary crew following him around and it was fun to be filmed and interviewed who knows if I will make it to the final cut?
What a dream day - what an experience - happy days indeed…
