Today was really more about adventure and fun then getting any serious miles in, the whole idea was to travel down the coast from our hotel in Christchurch down to Bournemouth, Poole Harbour sandbanks and then across to Studland for loop around Corfe Castle. Of course itās the south coast, itās summer holidays and itās a heat wave āļø āļøāļø so literally what felt like millions of people went out on the beach & in their cars. we also learnt that a local bylaw prevented cyclists using the agreed cycle path between 10 am and 6 pm in August š® so some urgent dynamic re-routing was necessary. It did mean though that by the time we got down to sandbanks we decided not to do the studland loop - keep that for a future trip. We did however go on the Mudeford ferry across to Hengistbury Head, which was absolutely stunning and we also discovered how many bikes you can fit on a small ferry ! But what a beautiful day out with a great group of people - ice cream, nice lunch & plenty of laughs and some of our group even decided to venture into the water /a fun day out on the south coast. Finished off with some drinks in the pub and then a great meal!
