Riding for Pride šŸŒˆšŸŒˆ and the Queen šŸ‘‘šŸ’

Well this has been an exceptional few days - of course on Thursday we heard the very sad news that the Queen had passed away. šŸ˜¢ Although she was 96, it was still a shock and I found myself quite emotional. I've never actually met the Queen although I did see her many years ago when she opened the MK dons stadium. The closest I've come recently was when the girls and I came across an effigy of her riding a bike on the platinum Jubilee weekend!!. šŸ‘‘šŸš“ The Queen was an avid cyclist in her youth, I wonder if she ever gave an E bike a go as she got older? As a mark of respect went up and left flowers for her at the Rose in Campbell Park in Milton Keynes - it was very moving.

But it was also a weekend for celebration - celebration of Pride and as someone who is a proud LGBTQ ally šŸŒˆ, I was delighted to be able to help lead a Pride ride organised from the local Trek store. My rainbow jersey didn't arrive in time but I did have some rainbow arm warmers. A fantastic enjoyable and social road ride finished off with Krispy Kreme doughnuts and a freebie pride T-shirt from Trek.
