Yorkshire Day 5 - cooler temps, a ford & an Augustinian Priory

Final day of our Yorkshire cycling adventure. A shorter ride today of just 28 miles - started off with a long steep climb (10/11% over 1 mile) out of Rillington, then down the other side, 17% & over 30 mph - yee ha! connected up again with the Yorkshire Wolds NCN network - through a ford (wet feet) and more quiet country lanes down to the river Derwent and Kirkham Priory which is an Augustinian Priory founded in the 1120’s. We really have had some brilliant cycling over the last five days - extreme temperatures varying by 20° between Monday and Friday of this week. 🥵☀️ I could not recommend cycling in the Yorkshire Wolds more highly, this area really is Yorkshire’s best kept secret / and it was fantastic to be able to do it with great friends who are just as mad about cycling as I am 😍😍🚴🚴 155 miles this week in spite of the 🥵🥵 temps at start of week. # HappyDays
