The final day of our cycling club adventure weekend saw us undertake a 53 mile ride around the best parts of the New Forest. Starting in Burley we took the quiet roads across the heath & through to Lymington then down to Bucklers Hard with its beautiful historic maritime buildings, waterfront views & lovely boats on the Beaulieu river. Then onward to Lyndhurst for an amazing pub lunch, before continuing through Emery Down & Bolderwood before skirting around Ringwood and back down to Burley. The New Forest is so pretty with itās quiet winding roads, the lowland heathland, the woods, pretty villages and of course regularly coming across horses, ponies, donkeys & even bullocks on occasion roaming freely. It was an incredibly hot day š„µ temperatures well in the 30s which made the ride an extra challenge, but great company! Great weekend - lots of cycling (106 miles in total), diverse sights, pub stops, meals out, ice cream, beers and brilliant camaraderie & fun - itās been a pleasure to help organise it. The riders gave us a thank you card with individual messages of thanks which was really touching ā„ļø makes it all worthwhile to see people enjoying cycling!!
