Spent the weekend down on the south coast, a fantastic weekend of cycling over three days and 130 miles with my cycling group. Friday afternoon saw us take a gentle ride down to Bournemouth beach which was absolutely packed as the airshow was on, and we were treated to an incredible 20 minute aeronautic display by the Red Arrows! Just wow! on Saturday we had a very early start catching a ferry over to the Isle of Wight. What amazing beautiful cycling around the island. I first did it two years ago in 40 mph winds, so to have wall-to-wall sunshine and perfect conditions made for a beautiful day of cycling. it's a tough challenge with over 5000 feet of climbing and 66 miles but it was an amazing day.
Sunday was a recovery ride of 53 miles aroundThe New Forest. The route gave us everything The New Forest has to offer, Heathland, Forest lined roads, ponies, horses, donkeys roaming around, even down to the seaside. - gorgeous route. A brilliant weekend of cycling with great friends and great weather. 🚴♀️🚴♀️🤩🤩☀️☀️☀️
